Wine bottles from Missouri Winery explode

A warning sent out across Missouri says to use caution when dealing with wine bottles from a Missouri winery.

The Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco control says six bottles of wine manufactured by Casa de Loco in Eldon, Missouri, may pose a danger of exploding and should be immediately secured to prevent injury.

The wines at risk are what you just saw — Applesauced, Bellini Gold, and Coming in Hot. According to the ATC, Casa de Loco never submitted these wines to the ATC for product brand registration.

The wine was distributed to Camdenton, Lebanon, Osage beach, Stoutland and nine other cities in Missouri. The issue was discovered by ATC as a result of a routine inspection. After confiscating unregistered wine that was being distributed, a bottle exploded in an ATC evidence storage room.
