Master of Wine: BEST BUYS AT TRADER JOE’S

In this video, Bob Paulinski Master of Wine looks for the best values from Trader Joeā€™s priced $10 to $20. Place of origin and its track record for bringing value, along with the vintage, wine style and availability were the key considerations. Four wines were selected, a sparkling, one white and two reds and of which will be tasted and discussed in this video.

A few comments about wine at TJā€™s, most stores have about 500 individual wine labels. Some are broadly sold national brands, others are from smaller artisanal sources, many are exclusive to TJs, with some being branded under their own corporate name. Price points range from about $3 to about $75, with the majority falling between $7 to $20. Some wines are sold year-round, but a good part of the mix changes up routinely with a high number of limited availability wines that come and go over the course of the year. And perhaps a bit surprisingly, should you choose to splurge, thereā€™s always a good range Bordeaux from recent vintages, including a number of classified growths. CA Store pricing.
